Job Title: Teaching Assistant in SEN Provision

Location: Kidderminster

Job Type: Temporary, with potential for permanent role

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 15:30pm

Salary: £420 - £450+ per week, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in a specialist provision in Kidderminster. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing a positive learning environment for vulnerable children aged 5 to 19 with Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of lessons and provide additional support to students as needed
  • Organize and collect resources for lessons, ensuring a smooth and efficient learning environment
  • Act as a positive role model, inspiring and encouraging students to make positive life choices and behaviors
  • Use enthusiasm and creativity to engage students in lessons and promote a love of learning

Requirements:

  • Minimum Maths and English GCSE qualifications
  • Driving license (desirable)
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
