Mental Health Support Assistant

The ideal candidate will possess a genuine interest in the mental wellbeing of children and be committed to building a career in therapy or psychology. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced therapists and psychologists, gaining valuable experience and mentorship.
The SEMH school provides a supportive and inclusive environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality care to children with complex needs. As a mental health assistant, you will work closely with the therapy team to develop personalized care plans, provide individualized support, and maintain accurate records of child progress and development.
About the Role:
• Collaborate with therapists and psychologists to develop personalized care plans for each child
• Provide individualized support to children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs
• Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care and education
• Maintain accurate records of child progress and development
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Education, Social Work)
• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Mental Health conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Passion for the mental wellbeing of children and commitment to providing high-quality care
Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
