Literary Industry Assistant

About the Role
Creative Artists Agency (CAA) is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Assistant to support our Literary Agents in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop a career in the publishing and film industries, working with internationally acclaimed and bestselling authors across fiction and non-fiction.
Responsibilities
- Managing a busy diary and contacts lists, travel booking, scheduling & expenses
- Logging deals on behalf of the Literary Agents
- Managing multiple databases, from publication to rights
- Liaising with our Business Affairs and Accounts departments to track payments and contracts, and raise invoices
- Reading and commenting on new material and submissions, and managing incoming submissions
- Dealing with enquiries about rights
- Acting as the primary point of contact for client enquiries by telephone and email
- Fielding phone calls and emails for the Agents
- Correspondence drafting
Requirements
- Prior experience with Outlook and other MS Office programmes
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Additional language skills are desirable but not essential
