About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychology Graduate to join our team as a Special Educational Needs Assistant.

The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Learning Support Assistants and Teachers to prepare resources and provide individualized support to students with varying special educational needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop tailored support plans for students.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, promoting skills-based learning and independence.
  • Monitor and record student progress, working closely with the class teacher to ensure effective support.
  • Facilitate student learning by understanding their goals and targets, and promoting engagement and well-being.
  • Adhere to Safeguarding policies and procedures to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred, but not required.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational and personal development.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
