We are seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Legal Cashier to join our busy Accounts Team at Wace Morgan Solicitors. The ideal candidate will work within a team responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the firm, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules, and providing accurate financial information to support the firm's operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage client and office accounts, ensuring all transactions comply with SRA Accounts Rules.
- Process client and office receipts, payments, and transfers.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and post nominal ledger entries.
- Monitor and manage client account balances and ensure prompt action is taken on matters requiring attention.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes.
- Liaise with clients and fee earners regarding financial queries.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Support the Finance Director with ad-hoc duties as required.
- Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar finance role within a law firm would be advantageous.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A high level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- AAT or ILFM qualifications are desirable but not essential.
