Job Title: Weekend Home Care Assistant

  • Accompanying clients to appointments and social events.
  • Preparing healthy meals and snacks.
  • Picking up prescriptions, going shopping for essentials, and doing other errands.
  • Carrying out light housework, laundry, or ironing.
  • Providing medication assistance.
  • Assisting clients getting out of bed in the morning or into bed at the end of their day.
  • Running a bath or shower and being close by in case they need assistance.
  • Assisting with dressing & undressing and personal care when required.
  • Above all, being the person who shows friendliness, warmth, and empathy.

What We Are Looking For:

  • People with a full UK driving license and their own reliable transportation to visit clients and travel across local areas.
  • An excellent timekeeper who is organized and reliable.
  • Compassionate and kind individuals.
  • People who always treat clients with dignity and respect.
  • A good listener, able to communicate clearly and build relationships with clients and their families in a polite and friendly manner.

As a Weekend Home Care Assistant, you will be carefully matched to your clients and asked to visit them in their own homes. Your role is to help them feel as comfortable as possible, support them with anything from shopping and cooking meals, to personal hygiene assistance, companionship, and social company.

It's really important to be able to build up trust with the client you're visiting so that they feel comfortable opening up and discussing any issues or needs with you. We treat our clients and Care Professionals with dignity, respect, kindness, and compassion.

No previous Home Care Assistant experience is needed, just your natural caring qualities. We will support you with full training, shadow shifts with a Team Leader, and introductions to all your new clients.
