Financial Operations Officer

We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Officer to join our team at Certain Advantage. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for processing payments, managing cash and benefit allocations, and ensuring accurate financial postings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all payments received and allocate them to the correct accounts.
  • Post cash and benefit payments, as well as other debtor invoices and cash receipts, to our finance and housing management system.
  • Raise and dispatch debtor invoices as required, in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Reconcile cash and transfer postings, and resolve any unposted or queried items.
  • Prepare refunds and post HB and universal credit payments to customer accounts.
  • Examine current customer and debtor credits, and other customer credits.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of working in a data protection-sensitive environment, with a strong understanding of controls to mitigate risk.
  • Proficiency in computerized accounts systems, with the ability to quickly learn new I.T. systems.
  • Experience working in a transaction processing office environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and CRM databases.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, often under pressure.
