Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the required operational capabilities (transport, warehousing, garment processing) to meet clients' needs and growth aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Strategic Initiatives: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve operational processes, aligned to our growth strategy.
  2. Identify and Resolve Operational Issues: Identify and resolve all operational issues, and drive initiatives at depot level.
  3. Technology Strategy: Develop and implement strategy for improved technology platforms (Paragon, Vector etc.).
  4. Operational Excellence: Ensure that operations systems, processes and current technology are optimised; and anticipate and react to changes in clients' business.
  5. KPI Management: Ensure delivery of KPI's by managing, monitoring and measuring the Depot Operations teams.
  6. Team Leadership: Ensure Depot teams are suitably resourced, with skilled management and staff, and with appropriate training, and supporting site general managers' teams in capacity and resource planning.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Identify, review and implement new techniques, technology, systems and tools to maintain operational excellence.
Requirements
  1. Experience and Understanding: Experience and understanding of people, processes, business applications, support tools and operational infrastructure.
  2. Leadership and Business Management: Demonstrated leadership, business management and budgetary control experience.
  3. Solution-Oriented: Solution-oriented person who is always seeking continuous improvement, bringing in bright, original and creative ideas from outside.
  4. Logistics Environment: Experience of working across different logistics environments (preferred).
  5. Attitude and Service: Admired and acknowledged for their attitude and service.

  7. Business Technology: Demonstrated ability to interpret business technology.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
