Peripatetic Painter and Decorator

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Aberdeenshire. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our care homes are beautifully decorated and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess painting projects to ensure accurate preparation and completion.
- Set up and maintain a safe working environment, including scaffold towers and work platforms.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, levelling surfaces, and filling in cracks or holes.
- Skilfully paint interior and exterior walls using various tools and techniques.
- Apply coatings, coverings, and claddings to external walls to protect and beautify the building.
- Inspect painted surfaces meticulously to ensure a perfect finish.
- Clean up work areas and remove tools and supports.
Requirements:
- SVQ in Painting and Decorating or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of successful work history, demonstrating skills and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with precision.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and understand care home needs.
- Experience working in care homes or large units is beneficial.
