We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Workflow Administrator to join our dynamic team in the primary care sector. As a Workflow Administrator, you will play a crucial role in accurately coding patient medical records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and maintaining data integrity.

This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and excellent attention to detail. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.

The successful candidate will have experience of administration duties, preferably in a healthcare setting. A NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable, but not essential.

As part of the data team, you will be managed by the Data Quality Manager who will lead and direct the team to achieve high quality outcomes for the Practice. The role is varied and will involve some training depending upon experience.

Responsibilities:

  • To function as data input clerk as required with responsibility for the inputting of data according to established routine
  • Ensure coding is compliant with coding guidelines and regulations
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies
  • Monitor Patient call and recall systems
  • Scanning and coding of letters and relevant correspondence into patients notes
  • Filing and retrieving paperwork
  • Assist in the tasks and duties of other staff within the team during periods of staff leave/absence

Person Specification:

  • GCSE level or equivalent
  • GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above)
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (desirable)

Salary: We offer a competitive salary of approximately £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
