About the Role

We are seeking a talented and ambitious Audit Manager to join our team at our Plymouth office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading audits from planning to completion, ensuring high-quality service for clients.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients, building strong, long-term relationships.
  • Review the work of junior auditors and provide guidance and support to help them develop.
  • Monitor performance of audit delivery against agreed KPIs and report on this, including the provision of potential solutions to issues.
  • Identify areas for client improvement and offer value-added advice.
  • Review financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in audit and accounting regulations.
  • Manage a team, oversee performance, and support their career development.

What You'll Need:

  • Audit experience gained in a UK accountancy practice (essential).
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UK audit standards and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Ideally, you'll have experience of supervising, leading and mentoring less experienced staff.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team, managing your time effectively.
  • A passion for professional growth and development.
