About the Role


We are seeking a seasoned Regional Sales Manager to join our team at John Bean Technologies Corporation.


As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading our business development efforts and driving sales growth in the region. You will work closely with our Business Development Director to identify new sales opportunities and develop strategies to capture them.


Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Generating, instigating, and closing sales opportunities
  • Responding to new enquiries from within our existing customer base and with new customers
  • Recruiting, training, and monitoring the performance of your sales teams
  • Developing specific actions to build a network of contacts and market intelligence
  • Creating an engaging sales plan, using both systems and meetings, to motivate the team and progress sales
  • Researching, analysing, and setting price points to maximise sales and maintain healthy profit margins
  • Identifying opportunities by keeping track of competitor activity
  • Using your industry knowledge to identify potential new markets and increase our market share
  • Developing accurate forecasts and managing the sales pipeline

Requirements



  • At least 5 years of experience working at a senior level within Sales
  • Experience selling business applications and complex solutions within manufacturing
  • Knowledge of the "system integration" industry and/or the UK food industry and its leading players is an advantage
  • Building and mentoring winning sales teams
  • Experience creating and selling concepts and solution-based proposals
  • Establishing communication and engagement with prospects
  • Commercial negotiation skills
  • Flexibility to travel around the UK is required
