Regional Security Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Regional Security Systems Engineer to join our team in Nottingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing a range of security systems, including intruder alarms, fire alarms, and CCTV surveillance systems.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with formal qualifications or time-served experience. You will be 18th edition qualified and have demonstrable installation experience of intruder alarm systems. Experience with fire alarms and CCTV systems is also highly advantageous.
As a Regional Security Systems Engineer, you will be working closely with customers to ensure they receive the ideal solution for their business. You will be responsible for carrying out pre-planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites in Nottingham and the surrounding areas. You will also be required to perform in-depth diagnosis of electrical alarm systems when required.
We offer a competitive salary up to £38,000, a company vehicle, phone, laptop, and continuous training opportunities. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with a 40-hour working week. Call out rota is every 1 in 3 weeks, although Engineers are rarely called out. Individuals will still be paid a call out bonus for maintaining their availability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out pre-planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites in Nottingham and the surrounding areas.
- Installing, maintaining, and servicing a range of security systems, including intruder alarms, fire alarms, and CCTV surveillance systems.
- Consulting with customers on site to ensure they receive the ideal solution for their business.
- Performing in-depth diagnosis of electrical alarm systems when required.
- Completing all relevant paperwork.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Responding to emergency callouts as per rota agreement (every 1 in 3 weeks).
Key skills and experience include:
- Formal electrical engineering qualifications or time-served experience.
- 18th edition qualification.
- Demonstrable installation experience of intruder alarm systems.
- Installation and servicing experience with fire alarms and CCTV systems.
- Holder of current DBS certificate or willing to have one done.
- First-class customer service skills.
- Full UK driving license essential.
