We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities- Support the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and month-end statements.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Process invoices, handle accounts payable and receivable, and manage payments and receipts.
- Address inquiries from suppliers, customers, and colleagues regarding accounts and payments.
- Carry out general administrative duties, including filing, data management, and assisting with internal and external telephone queries for the department.
- Currently studying towards AAT qualification or equivalent.
- Experience with purchase ledger and sales invoicing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for liaising with internal and external parties.
- Good organisational skills, including time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively within a small team.
- AAT qualified or a degree in accounting or equivalent.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of MRP and QuickBooks.
- Negotiation skills.
