Temporary Desktop Support Role in London

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Technician for a short-term assignment based in London. The role involves providing technical support to users, ensuring smooth operation of desktops, laptops, and other IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install and configure operating systems, software applications, and updates.
  • Assist in setting up new workstations and user accounts.
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical issues and resolutions.
  • Assist with IT inventory management and maintain records of IT equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal users and communicate effectively.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in a desktop support or IT helpdesk role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (LAN/Wi-Fi).
  • Experience in hardware troubleshooting (PCs, laptops, printers).
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent.
  • Experience with remote desktop support tools.
