About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of passengers and vehicles.
- Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs and parts replacement, utilizing technical knowledge and expertise to resolve complex issues.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used, adhering to industry standards and company protocols.
- Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair, ensuring the vehicle is safe for operation.
- PCV Mechanical repair skills are required, with an understanding of electrics being beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
• Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs and parts replacement
• Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
• Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary
Requirements
• Minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds level I & 2)
