Warranty & Indemnity Underwriter - Financial Lines Expert

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our Financial Lines team as a Warranty & Indemnity Underwriter. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of our W&I offering in the EO London Market.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite insurance risks in accordance with the Business Plan and personal authority to meet business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, brokers, business partners, and colleagues, to maximize influence.
- Understand and comply with QBE reinsurance strategy to minimize risk and deliver business plan objectives.
- Participate fully and use expertise to shape and develop strategy, knowledge, and best practice.
- Positively promote the department, division, and company as a whole to maximize brand leverage.
- Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are met.
- Adhere to underwriting standards, instructions, and good practice to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.
- Actively keep abreast of market dynamics and demonstrate market cycle awareness to operate effectively and appropriately.
- Experience underwriting within Financial Lines, specifically W&I.
- Commercial ability to understand key profit drivers to maximize long-term wealth for our shareholders.
- Good knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
- Good negotiating skills, innovative in underwriting approach and program design.
- Use of risk profiling and pricing tools and loss models.
