Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Location: UK

Salary: £45,000 - £49,000

CRS Professionals (UK) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to lead and manage civil design infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in civil engineering design and management of large construction projects, with the ability to ensure adherence to construction specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning and design stages of civil engineering projects.
  • Perform due diligence on the impact and feasibility of new construction sites.
  • Oversee all project stages from preliminary layouts to final engineering designs.
  • Survey new construction sites and assess existing infrastructure/structures for upgrades.
  • Design and recommend improvements to computer-aided design (CAD) software drawings and schematics.
  • Perform cost estimations and prepare project budgets.
  • Prepare work schedules and allocate resources, as well as supervise junior engineers, construction managers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Ensure that civil engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Inspect completed projects for compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Document processes and present project progress updates to senior managers and clients.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a civil engineering related degree.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software, such as Civil 3D / Micro-Drainage, as well as CAD.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering and construction specifications, standards, and codes.
  • Great leadership, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Superb mathematical, time-management, and organisational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Availability to perform construction site visits, when relevant.
