Tax Assistant Manager

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Assistant Manager to join our team in Gloucester. As a Tax Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, providing technical tax advice, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, including ultra-high-net-worth individuals, owner-managed businesses, and internationally mobile individuals
* Provide technical tax advice on a range of issues, including income tax, CGT, inheritance tax, and residency matters
* Handle compliance matters, preparing complex annual tax returns and ensuring adherence to current tax laws
* Liaise regularly with clients, tax authorities, and third parties on a wide variety of personal and business tax matters
* Support and supervise junior team members, contributing to their technical development
* Work on consultancy and advisory projects, providing high-quality tax advice
* Conduct technical research and assist other departments within the firm with tax queries

Requirements:
* ATT/CTA or ACA/CTA qualification with relevant personal tax experience within a professional services environment
* Strong technical skills and up-to-date knowledge of personal and business tax issues
* Experience in building strong relationships with both clients and colleagues
* Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills
* Ability to mentor and support junior team members, promoting a collaborative team environment
* IT proficiency and the ability to manage client portfolios efficiently
