Job Title: Full Stack Developer - Golang & React

Coltech Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious trading client to find an experienced Full Stack developer for a 6 month contract.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to design and develop features for a high-performance trading platform. You will work on both the backend, leveraging Golang, and the frontend, using React.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain both frontend and backend components of the trading platform.
  • Implement new features on the backend using Golang.
  • Build highly interactive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using React.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project scope.
  • Optimise and refactor code for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and robustness of the system.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the entire stack.
  • Work closely with the trading and analytics teams to implement data-driven features.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for software engineering.
Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in Golang for backend development.
  • Strong expertise in frontend development using React.
  • Experience with modern web development practices, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and WebSocket communication for real-time data updates.
  • Knowledge of software development in the financial or trading industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and data handling.
  • Knowledge of multi-threading, low-latency systems, and high-performance computing is advantageous.
