Our team is passionate about transforming the energy landscape, and we're looking for talented individuals to join us in this exciting journey. As a Substation Design Engineer, you'll work on engineering and construction projects in industrial, transmission/distribution, and renewable sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client liaison from initial contact through project delivery
- Delivering small to medium-sized projects throughout the project lifecycle
- Producing electrical engineering deliverables where appropriate
- Liaising with CAD Engineers to determine safe, cost-effective substation design solutions
In addition, you'll assist in the delivery of project-related tasks to meet budget, timeframe, and quality targets, promoting all facets of Arcadis services during interfaces with clients. Contributing towards the achievement of the divisional business plan, your role will be key to maintaining and exceeding client expectations and building networks within the industry.
Requirements:
- Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Experience working as a substation/plant engineer to regulated industry standards
- Preparation of HV Substation primary equipment design deliverables, feasibility studies, reports, programs, and cost estimating
- Broad knowledge of transmission technologies and a good understanding of how these technologies influence the operation and performance of the transmission system
- Ability to demonstrate success in delivering engineering and/or projects safely to budget, time, and quality that meets customer expectations
- Ability to work with internal and external parties and work within a strong team-working culture
- Experience in writing clear and concise documentation
