Year 1 Teacher Role

We are seeking an engaging and student-focused Year 1 teacher to join our team at a caring and nurturing primary school with an Outstanding Ofsted rating report in Kilburn, Camden.

The school strives to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through a supportive pastoral environment, and we are looking for a teacher who shares this vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective classes to Year 1 students based on the National Curriculum.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and support to Year 1 students to encourage growth and development.
  • Create a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
  • Use data to inform teaching decisions and adapt instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on Year 1 student progress.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching Year 1 students in a primary school setting.
  • A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and how to tailor instruction to meet its requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality education to Year 1 students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across various departments and schools.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
