Mechanical Fitter

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment on our South West Water Frameworks projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out mechanical installations and maintenance to the required standard and within the required time frame.
• Complete site documentation as required and red-line on-site 'Issued for Construction' drawings, marking them 'As-Built'.
• Check all goods delivered to site are supplied as per order, identifying changes to the works information and reporting to the Site Supervisor/Manager.
• Participate in an 'on-call' rota to provide 'call out' emergency breakdown attendance, fault finding and diagnostics.

About You:

We are looking for a proactive team player with good time management and communication skills. You will have a 'can-do' attitude and be able to work in confined spaces. Ideally, you will have experience working within the water and/or wastewater and general industries, and knowledge and understanding of mechanical drawings and schematics.
