London, Greater London, United Kingdom FundamentalVR Full time

We are a global pioneer in immersive VR surgical skills training and performance data, changing the way surgeons are trained and lowering the surgical risk to patients with our patented HapticVRTM technology.

Our unique hardware-agnostic platform allows surgeons to be trained in any setting, at any time, anywhere in the world, without the need for costly and resource-intensive wet labs, animal testing, or cadavers.

We are looking for a highly skilled full stack developer to join our team, building applications that support our innovative surgical training platform. This includes creating new websites and features to support our operational and client needs, building visualisations of the data we capture in our simulations, and building and maintaining our product delivery systems.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in agile development and SCRUM
  • Engaging in collective responsibility for maintaining a high-quality product

Requirements for the role include:

  • 5+ years professional experience with strong programming fundamentals and the ability to produce high quality code
  • Experience with AWS, including Cognito, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and EC2
  • Experience with JS Frameworks, ideally React JS
  • Understanding of NoSQL databases and document storage (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with ML/AI techniques and tools, as well as proficiency in analysing and interpreting data, would be advantageous for this role

We offer a range of benefits, including:

  • Private Healthcare
  • Enhanced Maternity, Adoption and Paternity Leave
  • Perks: Access to hundreds of vouchers and discounts
  • 25 days of holidays per year (which includes 3 days between Christmas and new year) + bank holidays + one extra day per year, up to a maximum of 28 days.

As a key player in a fast-paced start-up environment, you will have the opportunity to work with VR plus haptics, the next frontier of simulation and virtual reality. Fundamental VR operates a hybrid working model - with a need to come into the office circa 4 days a month.
