Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Turbine LIDAR Performance Analyst to join our team at Eden Scott. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of advanced LIDAR technologies for wind turbine performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement LIDAR Performance Methods
    • Design and develop new LIDAR power performance methods using CW lidar measurements, building on existing techniques and industry standards.
    • Develop and implement LIDAR power performance induction zone methods using CW rotor equivalent/effective measurements.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
    • Work closely with our Director of Turbine-Mounted LIDAR to drive the development of new LIDAR technologies and methodologies.
    • Collaborate with our engineering team to develop and implement data-driven solutions for wind turbine performance optimization.
  • Provide Technical Expertise
    • Provide technical project management leadership for allocated turbine-lidar projects and activities.
    • Develop analytical tools to help exploit the large and complex datasets produced by current turbine-mounted technology.
  • Support Business Growth
    • Support internal and external lidar trials and exercises to develop delivery of next-generation wind energy solutions from turbine lidar.
    • Support the team in the development of lidar-assisted control-related metrics and approaches.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Degree-qualified in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, physics, mathematics).
    • Practical experience within the wind industry and/or dealing with wind industry data.
  • Technical Skills
    • Experience with higher-level scientific tools (e.g., R, Python, Matlab).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
