About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 5/6 Mental Health Community Nurse to join our team at Leigh Moss Community Hub, based at Leigh Moss Hospital, Liverpool. The successful candidate will work within our community mental health teams, providing clinical leadership and expertise to our service users.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as the lead professional for a caseload of complex individuals with dementia and mental health problems.
  • Supervise and support junior staff, including band 5 nurses and support workers.
  • Participate in team meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Liaise with colleagues and coordinate care for service users on caseload.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in mental health.
  • Experience in change management and policy formulation.
  • Evidence of experience working with a range of people with mental health problems in various healthcare settings.
  • Ability to contribute to developing care excellence within the ward/team area.
  • Proven knowledge of relevant mental health legislation.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mentorship, preceptorship, and supervision, with the ability to provide education and supervision to junior staff.
