Job Summary:

This role involves working as an Apprentice Educator in a childcare setting, assisting with curriculum planning and daily activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment, promoting child development, and maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with the development of educational programs based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

- Support daily routine setup and tidy up

- Act as a key person to a small group of children, fostering relationships with parents/carers and ensuring individual needs are met

- Communicate concerns or issues related to child health and safety or equipment maintenance, maintaining confidentiality when necessary

- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and appraisal sessions

- Engage in required training courses and take responsibility for personal development

- Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff information acquired during employment

- Adhere to all policies and procedures, including those on confidentiality, equality, diversity, health and safety, and safeguarding

Requirements:

- Strong communication and organization skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain non-judgmental relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

- Willingness to learn and participate in training courses

- Understanding of child protection procedures and ability to ensure children's safety
