Teacher for Special Educational Needs

We are looking for a qualified teacher to join our team at a secondary school in Burnley. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching pupils with special educational needs and developing strategies to support their learning.
About the School
- The school provides education for pupils aged 11-16 with varying levels of need.
- The provision includes MLD, PMLD, Speech Language and Communication Needs, Autism, and SEMH.
Key Responsibilities
- To deliver engaging lessons to pupils aged 11-16 with varying levels of need.
- To develop strategies to support pupils in high-pressure situations.
- To defuse challenging situations in a calm and timely manner.
Person Specification
- Must hold a QTS/PGCE/Higher Level Teaching qualification.
- Prior experience supporting pupils with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable.
- The ideal candidate will be resilient and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Salary and Benefits
- Estimated salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
