About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Aggregate Industries UK Limited. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical equipment and systems at our Greystone Quarry in Launceston.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs on all plant equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Undertake electrical work in accordance with UK legislation and Aggregate Industries standards using the safe working procedures set out in Aggregate Industries policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Fault finding and process improvements.
  • Energy reduction.
  • Maintain all diagrams, circuit schedules, and other information.
  • Maintain all PLC controlled equipment, including program modifications to suit production needs.
  • Safety-related control systems for machinery.
  • Ensure all PPM schedules are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Mentoring of apprentices.

Requirements

  • Time served electrical engineering apprenticeship (engineering training authority).
  • 17th Edition wiring regulations City and Guilds 2382 qualified.
  • Inspection and testing City and Guilds 2391.
  • Functional safety/Safety-related control systems for machinery.
  • Ability to work well on own or part of a team.
  • Control panel design/build.
  • Cable sizing.
  • Motor control/VFD/DC Drives.
  • PLC experience, fault finding, and programming (Rockwell/Omron/Mitsubishi).
  • Robot experience, fault finding, and programming (Fanuc/Kuka/ABB).
  • Weighing equipment (load cells, etc.).
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • IT Skills.
