Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide support to a child with additional needs on a 1:1 basis, as well as supporting the whole class setting on occasions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the class teacher to support children with their learning
  • Manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work and ensure a constructive and positive environment is always enforced
  • De-escalate situations within the classroom in the correct way, ensuring that safeguarding procedures are always adhered to
  • Carry out small group work and work with children with additional needs
  • Report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies

Requirements:

  • A calm and reassuring nature
  • A positive attitude and a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
  • The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
