We are seeking an experienced and skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Elowen Hospital. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients with complex personality disorders.
Main Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in conjunction with the team.
- Conduct mental state examinations and assessments of patients.
- Undertake investigations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
- Participate in ward rounds and clinical audits.
- Lead the implementation of risk assessment and risk management strategies.
- Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers hearings.
- Participate in the telephone Second on-call rota.

- Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity.
- A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess, and treat patients and write clear, comprehensive medical notes.
- Committed to continued professional development.
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- A member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
