The role involves implementing a VAT strategy in relation to retail banking, commercial banking, and service companies. This includes advisory, compliance, and planning workstreams. The successful candidate will support the Head of VAT on key strategic and regulatory matters, sharing best practices and representing the group's interests with regulators and government agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of VAT to streamline processes and procedures, ensuring transparency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide VAT assurance and adhere to the Tax Risk Management and Assurance Framework.
  • Implement global standards and lead process improvements.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Extensive experience in VAT within practice, financial services, or industry.
  • Qualified Tax Advisor (CTA) or equivalent qualification by experience.
  • Collaborative and engaging approach with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to bring data and narrative to life through writing and presenting.
