About the Role

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team at Hydrock, now Stantec. As a Civil Engineer Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, from design to delivery, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs, and project coordination.
  • Contribute or lead on work winning, budgetary control of project finances, and preparing fee proposals.
  • Mentor and support emergent team members to uphold the quality and accuracy of technical and non-technical deliverables.
  • Work in a design office environment, participating in design and site meetings, site inspections, and progress reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
  • BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc, HND, or HNC civil engineering qualification, with significant experience gained in a design office environment.
  • Excellent analysis and technical design skills in AutoCAD, PDS, Civils3D, and MicroDrainage.
  • Good understanding of technical software, including Civil 3D, AutoTrack, and industry-standard software.
  • Knowledge of UK planning procedures and ability to provide technical support to secure planning approval.
  • Ability to secure technical approvals from highway and drainage authorities.
