Job Role

This role involves overseeing audit assignments, ensuring deadlines are met and compliance with necessary regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a detailed audit planning memorandum, discussing potential difficulties with the Partner/Manager, and completing audits in accordance with MHA audit procedures. They will also monitor the progress of jobs, ensure budgets are met, and address any problems encountered to ensure the audit is finished within budget and timeframe.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive audit plan, including details of potential difficulties and necessary tests to produce sufficient audit evidence.
  • Complete audits in accordance with MHA audit procedures, with assistance from more senior members of staff.
  • Monitor the progress of jobs, ensure budgets are met, and address any problems encountered.
  • Supervise the work of junior staff, checking and completing sections as necessary.
  • Sign off audit sections, address any problems, and complete the file before passing it on to the Manager/Partner for review.

Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA finalists with practice experience.
  • Competent planning and completion skills.
  • Computer experience - competency with Excel, Word, and other standardized software; Caseware, Sage, Quickbooks, and Xero experience is desirable.
