Temporary Operations Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Temporary Operations Administrator in our Cardiff Bay office.

You will be working autonomously and flexibly, with a minimum of 15 hours per week (negotiable) for an indefinite period covering sickness absence.

To succeed in this role, you will need administration experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage your workload efficiently.

Main Tasks:

  1. Handle incoming calls and act as the first point of contact for staff and visitors.
  2. Manage the Operations mailbox in Microsoft Outlook and deal with mail accordingly.
  3. Liaise with suppliers, building security, and management as needed.
  4. Order items for colleagues and track spend accordingly.
  5. Coordinate equipment shipment with the IT team.
  6. Process basic financial transactions, including purchase requisitions and supplier invoices.
  7. Provide health & safety advice and act as Fire Marshal and First Aider.
  8. Offer general administration support to Operations, IT, and HR teams.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of administration experience gained in an office environment.
  • Knowledge of basic health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workload independently.
  • Experience with basic finance, including VAT calculations.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 suite.
  • Recent First Aid or Fire Marshal training advantageous.

Salary Range: £28-£38 per hour, dependent on experience.
