Personal Care Assistant

Barrie Bookkeeping & Payroll Solutions Limited is seeking a dedicated individual to provide personal care and support to their employer. This role requires a caring and compassionate person who can assist with daily living tasks.
Job Responsibilities- Maintain regular contact with family and friends to ensure the employer's social needs are met
- Accompany the employer to medical appointments as required, providing emotional support and assistance with transportation if needed
- Participate in social events such as cinema outings or football matches to help the employer stay connected with their community
Personal Care:
- Assist with showering and bathing to promote independence and dignity
- Support with shaving and grooming to help the employer feel confident and prepared for the day
- Care for oral health by assisting with brushing teeth and maintaining good hygiene practices
- Help the employer dress and get ready for the day, promoting independence and self-care
- Administer PEG feeding according to the employer's healthcare plan and dietary requirements
- Ensure timely administration of medication, adhering to the employer's treatment schedule and medical protocols

Working Hours: 10 hours per week, plus holiday cover, to ensure the employer's needs are met during times of increased demand
Rate of Pay: £12.20 per hour, reflecting the importance of this role and the skills required to provide high-quality care and support
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience- Manual Handling training is essential, as the employer requires assistance with physical tasks and mobility
- Confidentiality is paramount, as the employer requires someone who can maintain their privacy and dignity
- Effective relationship-building skills are necessary, as the successful candidate will be working closely with the employer and their family
Desirable Traits:

This position requires satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check prior to commencement of employment, ensuring the employer's safety and well-being.
