About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Senior Manager to join their team. As a Senior Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing audit activities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit Planning and Execution
    • Assist in developing the annual audit plan to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
    • Execute and schedule audit engagements based on the approved 12-month audit plan, ensuring timely completion and high-quality standards.
    • Perform audit work and review the output of subordinates, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Handle special projects assigned to your team, leveraging your expertise to drive results.
  • Team Supervision
    • Monitor the activities of other auditors, ensuring objectives are met and tasks are completed on time.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Reporting and Presentations
    • Generate and present supervisory committee presentations and reports, effectively communicating audit findings and recommendations.
    • Guide the committee in fulfilling their responsibilities effectively, ensuring a thorough understanding of audit results.
  • Risk Management and Compliance
    • Contribute to independent assurance by assessing risk management, internal processes, and governance, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Safeguard compliance with procedures, regulations, financial reporting, laws, and policies, ensuring the organization's integrity.
    • Assist in maintaining an effective control environment, promoting a culture of accountability and transparency.
    Requirements
    • A number of years experience auditing for an Accountancy Practice, with a strong understanding of audit principles and practices.
    • Proven track record of managing audit end-to-end, with a focus on quality and timeliness.
    • ACA / ACCA qualified, with a strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
