About the Job

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nutrition Specialist in Kidney Disease Management to join our renal dietetic team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality patient-centred renal dietetic care across Nottinghamshire.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a dietitian, excellent communication skills, self-motivation, a flexible approach, and the ability to manage their own time and busy workload within a supportive team.

As a Nutrition Specialist, you will support the nutritional needs of people with kidney disease in various healthcare settings, working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and contributing to projects enhancing the expected high-quality care provided.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide nutritional guidance and education to patients and their families
  • Support the development and implementation of individualised nutrition plans
  • Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of patient care and outcomes

Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A degree in nutrition or a related field and registration with the Health Professions Council
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to travel off-site and possess a valid UK driving license (desirable)
