We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to support our End of Life Services business area. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in the preparation of accounting processes and cycles, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Reconcile and collate sales data for all ELS areas, including posting of cash statements for ancillary End of Life Service areas.
- Work closely with the End of Life Services management team to provide financial support and analysis.
- Own and manage quarterly BAU financial performance meetings with management, challenging performance and providing key action points.
- Complete and produce funeral plan investments for our investment partners on a monthly basis.
- Undertake all other funeral plan accounting, including accounting for plan deficits and excesses.
- Own the monthly Management Accounts Reporting function for End of Life Funeral Operations, ensuring timely and accurate output.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, reconciliation of funeral debtors, and Bad Debt Provision creation and posting.
- Provide credit control for funeral homes, including evidence for debt write-offs and liaison with external debt management companies.
- Assist the Finance Manager in End of Life Services Budget preparation and quarterly reforecasting.
- Support the Financial Processing Team Manager in reconciliation and resolution of DIDOS queries.
- Shared ownership of the cash management system closedown procedure and flash sales reporting.
- Good communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence where required.
- Previous experience of Management Accounting.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and a process-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in the use of Excel with high levels of IT literacy.
- AAT qualified.
- Studying towards CIMA (desirable).
- Salary of £31,000.
