Job Title: Chef/Cook

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Chef/Cook to join our team at Glencorse Army Barracks. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of meals for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Cooking and preparing food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
• Working well as part of a team of chefs, supporting one another and communicating effectively
• Following recipe cards to prepare, cook, and serve a range of meals
• Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
• Assisting with deliveries and stock checks
• Placing food orders and maintaining kitchen records
• Sharing responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for checking, probing, and signing of all food deliveries
• Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries
• Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
• Full knowledge of all menu items served
• Management of production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage
• Acting as a trainer/coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks

Requirements:
• Previous experience in contract catering is beneficial
• Excellent team player and communicator
• A confident chef
• BPSS and disclosure Scotland required
• Flexibility and the ability to innovate

• Annual salary of £21841.71
• Full-time position with 35 hours a week, 5 days over 7, including weekdays and weekends
• Shifts ranging between 5.30am – 8.30pm
