As a Graduate EHS Engineer, you will support and develop the business's management systems, ensuring conformance to ISO14001, ISO45001 and business requirements. You will also identify CSUK QEHS training needs and develop/deliver training materials, liaise with business stakeholders regarding issues around Environment and Health and Safety, and work with the EHS and Facilities team to ensure compliance to EHS legislation.

You will review and improve current working practices with regards to Health and Safety, conduct and support risk assessments, and support environmental sustainability improvements in line with L3HUK targets. Additionally, you will perform internal audits across the Business Management System and coordinate and report on continual improvement programmes within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and develop the business's management systems
  • Identify CSUK QEHS training needs and develop/deliver training materials
  • Liaise with business stakeholders regarding issues around Environment and Health and Safety
  • Work with the EHS and Facilities team to ensure compliance to EHS legislation
  • Review and improve current working practices with regards to Health and Safety

Requirements:

  • HND/ Degree level qualification in a Science, Engineering, Business or Sustainability Discipline
  • Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analyses and devise suitable corrective action plans
  • Experience using a wide range of root cause analysis tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills

Desirable:

  • Hold a recognised H&S qualification
  • Understanding of continuous improvement/lean principles and tools
  • Internal audit trained in any of ISO9001, ISO14001 or ISO45001 management standards
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of UK Health and Safety and Environmental legislation
