Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 driver to join our team in Dartford. As a Highway Freight Transport Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Safely operating an HGV Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods as per assigned routes
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it meets safety standards
  • Loading and unloading goods, ensuring they are securely transported and delivered without damage
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring safe driving practices at all times
  • Completing delivery paperwork accurately and promptly, maintaining clear communication with the transport office
  • Providing excellent customer service, representing the company in a professional manner during all deliveries

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record
  • A valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
  • Previous experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, with a strong understanding of road safety and vehicle maintenance
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic, with a commitment to delivering excellent service
