An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join our independent therapeutic school, supporting children with SEMH needs.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting both staff and pupils throughout the school day, implementing planned interventions, demonstrating in-class strategies, and facilitating activities to promote emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement tailored therapeutic programmes for pupils, ensuring the highest standards of care and support.
- Collaborate with educational and therapeutic teams to develop and implement pupil progress plans, promoting consistent and effective support.
- Maintain accurate therapy records and contribute detailed information to pupil reports, ensuring seamless communication with parents and carers.
- Engage regularly with families, providing updates and participating in parent/carer open days, fostering strong relationships and trust.
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant experience working with children who exhibit SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
- Accredited completion of an occupational therapy programme, with certification and registration with HCPC.
- Strong understanding of child mental health, trauma, and the effects of adverse early experiences, with a commitment to delivering evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with pupils, staff, and families.
