Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Fabric Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data architectures using Microsoft Fabric.

  • Design Expertise: You should have expertise in designing data platforms, including environment sizing, DevOps, source control, and passport to production.
  • Data Partnership: A strong partnership with Microsoft or higher-level data and AI solutions is essential.
  • Power BI and Data Factory: You should have experience with COE w.r.t. Power BI and Data Factory.
  • Complex Data Transformation: Experience in designing and implementing complex data transformations in ETL using ADF and MS Fabric Data Factory is required.
  • Medallion Architecture: You should demonstrate expertise in Medallion architecture and Lakehouse, as well as recommended data modeling strategies with a focus on self-service reporting and ETL.
  • Dashboards and Visualisations: Experience in creating visualizations and dashboards is crucial.
  • Canned Reporting: You should have expertise in canned reporting, pixel-perfect reporting, bursting, flat reporting, etc.
  • Cognos Semantic Models: Demonstrated expertise in decommissioning Cognos semantic models and reports for a substantial number using accelerators and automation is necessary.
  • Tableau Reports: Experience in decommissioning Tableau reports for a substantial number using accelerators and automation is also required.
  • Purview: You should have expertise in data management, data cataloging, and data lineage with Purview.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cloud data fabric architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and other cloud-based technologies.
  • Experience with DevOps, source control, and environment sizing.
  • COE certification w.r.t. Power BI and Data Factory.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing complex data transformations in ETL using ADF and MS Fabric Data Factory.
  • Knowledge of Medallion architecture, Lakehouse, and recommended data modeling strategies.
  • Experience in creating visualizations and dashboards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
