We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead our Neuroscience research team at EngineeringUK. As a Discovery Disease Area Lead, you will play a critical role in driving our mission to improve human life through scientific advancements.

About the Position

You will be responsible for developing and implementing key components of our neuroscience strategy in RTech. This will involve leading cross-functional teams to identify and validate high-quality targets using large-scale experimental and computational approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and manage the pre-Commit to Target (C2T) project portfolio in neurology.
  • Deliver small pools of high-potential targets that meet C2T quality criteria.
  • Influence Senior R&D management by identifying and communicating portfolio risks and opportunities.
  • Drive development and implementation of key components of the neuroscience strategy in RTech.
  • Partner proactively with Research Units and Research Technology Leadership to provide strategic scientific input.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of an MD or PhD degree or extensive drug discovery and development experience.
  • Extensive years of progressive pharmaceutical experience, including key project leadership roles.
  • Experience with neuroscience R&D programs, scientific and clinical strategies.
  • Strong data interpretation and report/presentation writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time.

Estimated salary: £135,000 per annum.
