Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CMM Programmer Operator to join our Quality Team at ADDMAN Group. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring production parts meet customer requirements using CMM equipment and software.

The successful candidate will assist in performing visual and dimension inspections to ensure that all product meets customer specifications and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure key part characteristics with CMM equipment
  • Perform CMM programming, setup, and analysis of both in-process and finished products
  • Work with engineering and programming teams to troubleshoot parts
  • Perform first-piece production inspection and provide feedback
  • Train others on CMM operation and appropriate methods
  • Check and verify machined component dimensions using measuring devices to blueprints
  • Communicate effectively with machinists, operators, and management to maintain acceptable quality standards
  • Maintain and generate all required quality documentation, including inspection and discrepancy reports
  • Document findings and develop planning for jobs
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned or requested
Requirements
  • 2-year technical degree and/or 2 years of shop floor machining or 6 months of Quality Inspection experience
  • Preferred experience in a machine shop/manufacturing/metalworking industry/environment
  • Preferred experience with PC DMIS, CAD/CAM, CMM software
  • Knowledge of GD&T and general blueprint interpretation
  • Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and organization skills
  • Innovative thinker, a self-starter, and solid problem-solving skills
  • Ability to set up inspection processes, choose appropriate tools, and inspect parts with minimal or no supervision
Work Environment
  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.
  • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
Physical Demands
  • Sit or stand as needed.
  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
  • Proper lifting techniques required.
  • Ability and comfortability to work in small confined spaces while following proper safety protocol.
  • Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
