Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Connectment. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the commercial aspects of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and management of tender packages
  • Accurately complete and submit monthly applications
  • Verify client payments and provide debtors position reports
  • Manage subcontract packages, including labor and plant gangs
  • Negotiate and agree contractual variations with clients
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Attend site meetings and collaborate with project teams
  • Develop and support other commercial team members

Requirements

  • QS degree or relevant Cost/Commercial discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role for major housebuilders
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient IT skills, including Excel and Bluebeam
  • Sound commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work under pressure and take initiative
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Driving license
