About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at Premier Engineering. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for designing and developing embedded software for our cutting-edge products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop embedded software for ARM-based microcontrollers using C programming language
  • Work on the full design process from concept to manufacture, including test and application code development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components
  • Develop and maintain existing software, as well as create new code to meet evolving business needs
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, such as IoT, ESP32, and MQTT
Requirements
  • 1-3+ years of industry experience in embedded software development
  • Strong knowledge of C programming language and microcontrollers (STM32, ARM, ESP32, Microchip PIC)
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485)
  • Proficiency in wireless communication technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, MQTT)
  • Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams of circuit designs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range of £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Annual holiday entitlement of 32 days paid per full year, calculated pro-rata from 1st January
