About the Role:
As a Senior Financial Leader at Carrier, you will be responsible for leading a large team of experienced Finance professionals or team leaders. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the Development of Financial Plans: You will be responsible for managing and monitoring financial initiatives and controls, evaluating and recommending strategies for financial and budget plans, and advising senior management on financial matters.
- Overseeing Day-to-Day Finance Processes: You will be responsible for all day-to-day finance processes, including manufacturing finance, treasury, insurance, tax, and serving as Senior Accounting Officer.
- Liaising with FP&A Team: You will be responsible for managing the transition of Kidde Products finance processes from Carrier to a standalone company, establishing a newly formed finance team, and leading/mentoring a team to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Maximizing Return on Financial Assets: You will be responsible for establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, reporting systems, and guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Establishing and Monitoring Internal Controls: You will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls to protect assets, monitoring and confirming financial condition by managing audits and providing information to external auditors, and supporting financial systems implementation.
- Overseeing Day-to-Day Financial Operations: You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations to ensure accuracy and timely reporting, supporting the annual budgeting process for UK operations in partnership with the Financial Analyst and operations leaders, and preparing and presenting comprehensive financial reports to executive leadership.
- Ensuring Compliance with UK Financial Regulations: You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with UK financial regulations and proactively managing financial risks.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualification: You must have a qualification in accounting and finance, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Experience with UK GAAP Reporting Requirements: You must have experience with UK GAAP reporting requirements, and knowledge of US GAAP is desirable.
- Analytical, Numerical, and Problem-Solving Skills: You must have analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work and deliver within tight timelines.
- Proven Experience in a Senior Finance Role: You must have proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within a global business with operations in the UK and sales across Europe.
- Broad Management and Leadership Knowledge: You must have broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams.
- Experience in Manufacturing Accounting: You must have experience in manufacturing accounting.
- University Degree or Equivalent Experience: You must have a university degree or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
