Kuehne+Nagel provides hundreds of customers with services to move their goods across Europe. Our Road Logistics team works directly to source, engage, and maintain our customer base, ensuring that our customers' shipments are booked efficiently and delivered on time.
Your Role:
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, processing bookings from clients and overseas agents, providing operational support to Sales Managers, and liaising with relevant parties to organize the movement of goods. You will also have the opportunity to develop specialist sales skills and work towards achieving bonuses and pay rises connected to the apprenticeship programme.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently process bookings from clients and overseas agents
- Provide operational support for Sales Managers when required
- Liaise with all relevant parties throughout the shipment to organize the movement of goods
- Deal with any issues that may arise during a shipment and ensure the client and/or Sales Manager is updated
- Process sales and purchase invoices of the branch
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings and training sessions
- Make sales calls, engage, and onboard new customers
- Analyse sales performance statistics and prepare/deliver customer review meetings
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and be a self-starter. Previous use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial. The minimum entry requirement for this apprenticeship is Five GCSEs at grades 3 – 9 / A*-D including Maths & English. Please be aware that this vacancy does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship and for apprenticeship funding, candidates must have been resident in the EEA for at least the last 3 years.
